Therapy Stars Foundation offers awards of £500 to families living in Shropshire, Cheshire, Mid or North Wales for them to access therapy for a child with a long-term or life limiting condition. The grants can also be used for siblings of these children.
We use therapy to support family foundations and allow stars to shine. There are multiple ways to show support from donations, fundraisers, volunteering and more.
“I applied for funding to access MAES therapy for Alex. This therapy looks at the neuro-developmental movement patterns and works to help the brain create new pathways. The funding enabled Alex to have a 5 hour therapy block and helped him to make excellent progress towards his ability to take steps.
Thank you so much for helping my lovely Alex to access the therapy he needs and deserves.”
“Thanks to you, treatment will help her practical development and bring back more balance to avoid the falls. She will be able to get the support from the professionals that she needs. Thank you to your amazing generosity. I can’t thank you enough but thank you!”
“We applied for a grant from Therapy Stars Foundation to help enable Vega to participate in a block of 6 Hydrotherapy sessions with Therapy Stars.
She is working towards independent sitting, and these sessions have been so important in getting closer to reaching that goal. When she reaches it, it will be life changing and grants like the one Vega received makes a huge difference for children who needs extra support to reach their full potential.”
“Isla has had lots of sessions with her private speech therapist. We have been having appointments at least every 2 weeks. Isla has learnt how to use two types of buttons to control toys and press play on her favourite YouTube videos. This gives her independence and allows her to learn cause and effect which is the foundation for communication.
We have also moved onto using an eye gaze machine.
We are so so grateful that the money that you given us to put towards speech therapy and we feel like Isla has achieved so much in a short amount of space.”
